  Came here to request my term deposit money be released. It was extremely urgent. A young female worker there said, "No. Sorry.. can't release the money, the rule is you must wait a month". I said.."Whaaat?" This was bloody urgent, details I wont reveal here, but explained to her in the most easiest of terms. She told me the manager was unavailable and put me on to a young male worker, on the manager's behalf. He was seated in a front office. I repeated my explanation to this young male. He was so horribly ignorant, selfish, unbending. He also said, "No". As a customer of several decades, I was in deep shock. I left this bank in disgust. I rushed over to another branch several suburbs away, who's manager (aged in her 40s) dealt with my query IMMEDIATELY and in the most sympathetic manner. My matter was extremely urgent, yet the young staff at Essendon North have absolutely NO concept of 'respect' nor 'customer service' for their customers. The young ones work off a script, they are not flexible to matters that are of supreme urgency. The was NO EXCUSE for the young staff to stress me out and force me to leave in tears. I will NEVER deal with this branch ever again. I've taken my business elsewhere.
